    My 1.5 year old x9i that had been missing street view since roughly november 2012. Along with many other x9i and 2150 users.  Mine was fixed with a USB reprogramming thumb drive that was sent out to me two weeks ago.  I had already had the 1.4 app version on my x9i before the USB thumb drive arrived and my treadmill still had no street view with the 1.4.  The thumb drive further updated my treadmill's firmware, brainboard, and android kernel, and all of a sudden the street view returned to working great.  My treadmill was of course already fixed by the USB thumb drive before this online downloadable fix was issued.  However, I did this online procedure as well, and it was very simple, quick, and clearly deleted a large cache of files exactly as advertised.  My treadmill still works fine after the online update/ cache clearing procedure.  I recommend it to all to try.  Very simple.

    Saturday 10th august 2013, 17h50. I just applied this procedure on my Treadmill Nordicktrack C2150 ( 10 inch Android ). This works great. Finally, i can see the Google street views ! The cleaning of Ifit Files took 19 minutes exactly. So be patient... :-)

     

    Hope i won't have to do this procedure every week... :-(

    I have a nordictrack x11. The problem I am having with street view is that during my workout (time Varies but usually after about 10 to 15 minutes) the street view starts to hang. Instead of updating the picture smothly, i get a white flashing strobe effect and the picture does not change. Does anyone know If this issue is related?

    @Thebertolis -- Are you using your  machine with US measurement enabled or Metric?

    Got my 2150 going again. @Ben Like you, I reprogrammed mine a couple months ago with a SD card from Nordictrack which cleared everything out. Worked fine until last week when the cache filled up again. Same thing happened about 2 months after I got the treadmill. This was so much better than having to tear the console apart to get to the SD slot.

    @Matt Once we apply this fix, does it automatically clear the cache or will it build up and have to be done again?

    @Neil- It will just clear the cache. It is a temporary fix. We have an application update with the fix impelemented that is currently in testing. We should be releasing the application update within a month's time.

    I have the exact same problem as @Thebertolis , @Matt Evans i use Metric system, does this has something to do with the inestability of street view? should i be using US measurement? or how can i solve this, in order to see all the map smoothly and not getting the white flashing strobe effect  10 minutes after i started a map.

    We are aware of a problem with StreetView if your machine is set to metric. We have fixed the issue and it is in testing with a pending release date set. It shouldn't be much more than 2-3 weeks at most. In the meantime, running in US measurement and using this tool will provide you with functional StreetView. I apologize for the issue.

    iFit support directed me to this thread last week. I just successfully went through the process (even took it off demo mode) and I still have the same problem: my street view doesn't move AND my distance doesn't change. I never know how far I've gone. I just paid $99 to get this going and I'm super bummed that I can't use it. What do I need to do now?

    @caforlsa- I would give our support number a call. You can usually resolve the issue over the phone. There is a possibility that the way your machine tracks distance is not working properly. Their number is 866-608-1798.

    Neil Clements....if you take the two files off of the sd card and put them on a usb thumb drive, then you will have a backup reloading tool in case anything major happens down the road.  There is no need to tear apart the console to put in a new sd card.  The USB port on the top back of the console will do the exact same thing.  Just turn on the treadmill, wait till fully loaded, and put in the thumb drive....all automatic from there with only one user selection, so pay attention to the on screen text.  A couple of 2150 users and I figured this out.  repeated multiple times on multiple 2150's.  It was a shame they forced you to take apart your console for an sd card...or do you have some 2150 without a usb port on top....?

    IFIT, does the next release also fix the issue with wrong map elevation profile generation when using metric units? Elelevation/inclination profiles are only correct when the web site is configured to using US units. Inclination percentages are much too low when using metric units. Another issue is that when drawing time based workouts, e.g with a 1.0% percent inclination, the inclination will be 1.2% on the treadmill. (I have a T25 treadmill)

    I wonder if we're going to be A++ Certified after performing all this tech work on our machines?  What a joke!  After sending 4 ellipticals to my house they still don't work 100%.

    I just bougth a elliptica  E15.0  mod NTEL91411.0 and the streetview on maps dont work, I did the whole  process that you recomended here, but  I can only see the image of the streetview flashing but does not move, the map and satelite view works great, i checked the internet signal and  is excellent, also I set my machine to US measurement, I hope you have a solucion because one of the reason I bought my Nordcitrack was for the option of street view,

    YAY!!!!!  It worked!  I was getting a blank white screen whenever I'd use my maps in streetview.  I called and they directed me to this page.......super easy directions to follow!  It did take a while to clear the cache.....but it's all worth it since it worked!!!

    I had the same issues with a flashing white screen during street view. I tried this manual procedure a month ago without success.

    On October 1st iFit released the 1.6.1 version of the Android app. Performing a normal update from the maintenance screen will not work. It says that no updates are available. However, when performing this manual procedure again it actually downloads and installs the new 1.6.1 version.

    I never get a download complete bar.  I have three little ifit insignias now and about 4 bars that had arrows leading to them that WERE blinking but now are not.  Can anyone help?

    I just updated (Jan 5, 2014) and am in an endless loop where I get a white screen that says ifit.com and then restarts.  I can't get to the main menu to perform this.  Help please!

You will need to draw a figure 8 when you see the iFit loading screen to stop it from loading. From there, you can follow the steps to run the fix to resolve your issue. 

    @Joanna: Can you give me a little more information on your issue? Does your machine load to the main menu?

    that "Press OK" is still in step 8.... It should be "Press GO"!... pretty inexcusable... for a fix dated back to August! should have been repaired/corrected by Sept!

    I tried this procedure on my Proform 1450 treadmill, it did not work for me. To be sure I didn't make an error I went through the procedure a second time double checking each step, got the same error message the second time. Now what. I really want Street View on my screen.

    i opened a ticket over the weekend for this but maybe since it is related to this thread i'll post here

    i have a commercial 2950 purchased in Jan 2014 streetview seems to work at the begining of a map / workout but 8 or 9 min in it changes to a white screen and then never comes back

    I have tried an update as recommended here to the ifit application and i have the latest firmware (jan 11 i believe)

    im having a couple of other issues (cant create and save my own map) that I also opened tickets for

    Any suggestions?

    Kevin I do not work for ifit (yet)...  this fix will most likely solve your problem... But note there is no OK button... so do not let that through you... What is ment by the OK button is the GO button... (as you might have guessed from context as I did a month ago.... Ifit needs to correct this instruction.... I notified them a month ago... this is clearly unacceptable... might be a cultural thing (deference to authority) same reason Korean and Columbian pilots crash there plains... no one takes iniutive to do what need done now!  (Outliers by Malcom Gladwell)   it will take like 20-30 minutes for the cache to clear...
