iFit DUO Quick Start Guide


1. Install the iFit app on your iOS or Android device* and set up the Duo

iOS Download | Android Download

    • Wake the Duo from Shipping Mode: Rotate the Duo till the LCD face is shown, then press and hold the upper left and lower left buttons at the same time for 3 seconds.
    • Launch the iFit app on your compatible device, with Bluetooth enabled and follow the on-screen instructions to pair, sync, and setup your Duo. If you haven't created an iFit account, you can register within the app. A premium membership is not required.
    • Syncing: After your first sync with the iFit app, the Duo will remember your phone and automatically sync whenever the iFit app is open and your Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. You can also manually sync by pulling down on the dashboard within the iFit app.

 

Compatibility Requirements*

  • For IOS, an iPhone 4S, 5S, 5C, and above are required. iPod Touch 5th generation and above.
  • Android 4.3 with Bluetooth BLE is required.

 

2. Set the Time on the Dial Face

    • Flip to the Dial face, then firmly pull the crown to the right. Rotate the crown in either direction. Once you have accurately set the time, press the crown back in. When you sync your Duo, the LCD watch will automatically get the time from the iFit app.

 

3. Get Familiar with Your Duo

Refer to the instructions below for the instructions on basic use of the Duo. The Duo has two faces, so be sure you know which side of the watch has access to specific features. The analog side is essentially an analog watch. You will use the LCD Face to access the majority of your features.

Sync, Backlight, and Exiting Shipping Mode

  • Sync Mode: Pressing and holding both the Upper and Lower button with the LCD screen facing you.
  • Backlight the Display: Press the top right “Light” button.
  • Exit the Shipping Mode: Press and hold both the Upper and Lower buttons for 3 seconds (You shouldn’t have to do this more than once when you first open your Duo).

 

 

Viewing the Time/Date, Net Cals, Total Steps, Total Distance, and Battery Level 

 

  1. Screen Blacked Out
  2. Date/Time: Single press the Upper button.
  3. Net Calories: Single press of the Upper button from the Date/Time screen.
  4. Battery Level: Single press of the Upper Button from the Net Calories/Steps/Distance screen. To exit the battery level, single press the Upper button again.

 

 

View Detailed Calorie Info, Total Steps, and Total Distance

  1. Net Calorie Breakdown: Single press the Lower Button from the Date/Time screen.
  2. Calories In: Single press the Lower button from the Net Calorie Breakdown screen.
  3. Calories Out: Single press the Lower button from the Calories In screen.
  4. Steps: Single press the Lower button from the Calories Out screen. This screen will also give you a percentage to show how far along you are with completing your Step Goal.
  5. Total Distance: Single press the Lower button from the Steps screen.

*Tip: To go back a screen, press the Upper button.

 

Logging Daily Calories

 

  1. From the Date/Time Screen Press and HOLD the Upper button for 3 seconds. From here, you can add Calories in increments of +50 up to a total of 2000 calories by pressing the Upper button.
  2. To continue, press the Lower button to get to the Save screen.
  3. To save your log, press the Lower button. If you changed your mind, press the Upper button.
  4. Press the Lower Button to Save your log.

 

 

Starting a Workout

  1. From the Date/Time Screen, Press and HOLD the Lower button for 3 seconds. The Sleep option will display.
  2. Press the Upper button to cycle to the Workout option.
  3. Press the Lower button to start a workout. (Pressing the upper button on the Start screen will cancel Workout mode and take you back to the Date/Time Screen)
        a) The timer for your workout will begin and the heart-rate monitor will flash if the watch isn’t detecting a heart rate from the optional heart rate monitor.

 

 

Monitoring your Progress during a Workout

During a workout, there are two screens that you can view to get information on your workout.

The first, can be accessed by pressing the Lower button once. This screen shows you your BPM(beats per minute) if you have the optional heart rate monitor connected to your watch. It will also show you the the total time you have been working out.

The second screen, the “Workout Details” screen, can be accessed by pressing the Upper button from the Date/Time Screen. Here you can see your total distance, calories burned, pace, and duration of your workout.

 

 

Ending Your Workout

To end your workout at any time, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Upper/Lower button to cycle to the Heart rate screen.
  2. Press the Lower button from the Heart Rate screen to end the workout.
  3. Press the Lower button to confirm.
  4. Press the Lower button to Save your workout.

 

 

Move Time Alert

The Move Time alert is designed to be a friendly reminder for you to move. If you have been inactive for too long, your iFit Duo will vibrate and display the “Time to Move” message. You can enable this option in the iFit app under the “Advanced Settings” in the app. You will set the time in the setting. If I were to set the move time alert to 45 minutes, the watch will alert me after I have been idle for 45 minutes.

 

 

Manually Entering Sleep Mode

  1. Press and hold the Lower button for 3 seconds from the Date/Time Screen.
  2. Press the Lower button when “Sleep” is displayed.
  3. Press the Lower button again to start 'Sleep' time.
  4. When you wake up, press the Lower button again, to bring up the save screen.
  5. Save your Sleep data by pressing the Lower button.

 

 

Auto-Sleep Mode

Auto-Sleep mode is a feature that will automatically switch your Duo into Sleep mode when you're In Bed Time is reached. During Sleep mode Move time Alert and Caller ID & Text is Disabled. If by chance, you are still awake during this time, you can press any button to enabled Bluetooth for 30 minutes.  

If you wake up before your Wake Up Time, be sure to manually change your Duo out of Sleep Mode.

Alarm

The alarm feature will alert you when your ‘In Bed Time’ is reached with a vibration and on screen notification shown above. When it is time to wake up, the Duo will vibrate and notify you to wake up at the pre-set ‘Wake Up’ time.

Setting up Auto-Sleep and Alarms

To use the Auto-Sleep feature, you must first enable the feature in the iFit app.

You will need your Duo and your phone near each other to save the changes and enable the feature.

  1. Select the Main Menu (3-lines in top left corner).
  2. Select the Gear icon.
  3. Select Sleep.
  4. Turn ON Auto Sleep Mode.
  5. Save your changes by syncing your Duo.

Naps and Manually Entering Sleep Mode

If you take a nap during the day and want to track that, you will need to manually enter Sleep Mode. This can easily be done by following these steps. 

On the LCD screen side of the DUO:

  1. Press and hold the Lower button for 3 seconds from the Date/Time Screen.
  2. Press the Lower button when “Sleep” is displayed.
  3. Press the Lower button again to start 'Sleep' time.
  4. When you wake up, press the Lower button again, to bring up the save screen.
  5. Save your Sleep data by pressing the Lower button.
